Recently, the "2019 China Artificial Intelligence Summit" was held in Nanjing. At the meeting, the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance released the list of "Artificial Intelligence Demonstration Parks," and the China (Hangzhou) Artificial Intelligence Town was honored! This summit is themed "Smart + Embracing the Future," gathering top experts from the international academic, corporate, and capital circles in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as famous leaders in the industry and related representatives from Stanford University, SK Group, Microsoft, Innovation Works, Qualcomm, Sequoia China, and others to discuss the present and future of China's artificial intelligence.

The Artificial Intelligence Demonstration Park is an important requirement proposed in the "Three-Year Action Plan for Promoting the Development of the New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Industry." It is to build demonstration zones, gathering areas related to artificial intelligence, and it is of great significance to promote the development of local artificial intelligence industries, help the parks improve their service capabilities, and accelerate the formation of high-quality development industrial clusters. The China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance has carried out the selection work of artificial intelligence demonstration parks to further implement national requirements and promote the healthy development of China's artificial intelligence industrial parks.

This demonstration area selection is conducted in accordance with the "Identification and Management Measures for Artificial Intelligence Demonstration Parks" of the alliance. The draft of this measure was formed at the beginning of the year, and after several rounds of discussions with some enterprises, parks, and local governments, the alliance officially released the "Identification and Management Measures for Artificial Intelligence Demonstration Parks" at the end of May, and launched the park selection activities. During the demonstration area selection phase, the alliance invited several experts in the field of artificial intelligence to participate in three rounds of reviews, including preliminary screening of materials, review of qualifications, and final assessment. In the end, a total of 8 parks passed the review. (The ranking is not in order.)

The AI town has won this award, which is an affirmation of the town's operational achievements. The AI town focuses on the layout of industries such as big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, and serves innovative enterprises by optimizing the entrepreneurial and innovative environment, providing policies and funds, attracting high-tech enterprises, and is committed to gathering high-end talents, building an innovative demonstration platform, and becoming a leading area for the gathering of the national AI industry.

Currently, the town has attracted a number of leading incubation platforms in the field of artificial intelligence, including the Hangzhou Lab, the Alibaba-Zhejiang University Joint Research Center for Frontier Technology, and the Baidu (Hangzhou) Innovation Center. Within three years, the town will focus on building more than 10 high-level professional research institutes and corporate R&D centers, establishing 30 professional incubation platforms, introducing 50 leading talents, supporting 1,000 innovative and entrepreneurial projects, and creating a top domestic and world-class gathering place for the artificial intelligence industry.
